Kakegurui Review

I have to admit, I don’t like the Kakegurui art and character designs. But that’s about the only thing I don’t really like about it. Everything else so good… Even with the completely absurd story, which normally ruins the great anime, but not in this case, Kakegurui is a must see anime. I’ll give you two good reasons why should you watch Kakegurui (Compulsive Gamer): 1. Anime is made by studio MAPPA, studio that made Shingeki no Bahamut, Yuri!!! On Ice, Days… and reason #2. Compulsive Gambler is just awesome. Last time I watched 12 episodes in 1 breath was long time ago… “Prison School”… well, maybe not so long ago after all. Yumeko by Aoi Ogata Artist Now let’s talk about things that you may not like about these series… the usual cliche such as School and “Seitokai”. I mean cmon! There was no reason bringing school into this, not to mention student council but oh well. Willing to let it slide because the anime is just too good. Stupid but it’s like junk food, you know it’s trash and offers no values but you love it anyway. Speaking of “values” it’s not all that bad… I mean you learn something new every now and then, if gambling something that interests you… for example you learn about “badger” but I’m not going to spoil this for you. Kakegurui Arwork by Unfairr Kakegurui anime is not for kids, definitely! R-17+ there’s some violence involved, pretty disturbing at that. Don’t believe people saying “the ending was disappointing”. It’s all subjective. In my personal opinion, the “ending” was intriguing. As soon as I finished the series, I immediately went Googling “Anime Like Kakegurui”.... ended up with disappointing results though, couldn’t find anything at all. People included No Game No Life in the lists for whatever reason... which is an absurd, NGNL is a completely different genre.  compulsive gamer is unique in its nature. Rating  - R - 17+ (violence & profanity) P.S. – Honestly, I got hooked the moment I watched opening. Kakegurui opening is really something guys! you definitely going to love it even if you dislike the anime in general.   Yumeko by Shadowluh
