Hmm… how to best describe Saijaku Muhai no Bahamut? – It sucks! However due Its popularity (for unexplained reasons). We still decided to analyze and review it in details (just kidding, no way I’m going into details with this one). So, setting aside subjectivity for a moment and let’s talk about story first, or the blurriness of it, or the absence of it (imo); some random flashbacks, random sentences and images… not really what I call a story.

Some ex-prince forced by his big bro to destroy some ex-kingdom. That’s one part of the story and the other part is about bunch of princesses going YOLO on little bro because he’s character design looks hot. Pathetic! And of course, whole set of clichés is there, like the school / academy of some sort; then there’s childhood friend which is only good for fetish; Tsundere girl, and some décor. and according to author’s fantasy, all the girls go wild for little Lux for absolutely no reason whatsoever, you know, because YOLO.

Combat in Saijaku Muhai no Bahamut

All the mecha stuff in Saijaku Muhai no Bahamut was a waste of time and energy, fights are stupid, baseless and childish, no strategy involved no spectacular visuals, no common sense or logic. Besides, everyone watching these series is probably not interested in mecha fighting if you know what I mean.

One thing that is not a total disaster about this anime is the drawing and character designs, yes, it’s kind of old-ish and all the characters look like they have been copied and remade from originals but still, the visuals in general look decent.

You are here for the honest review, right? There you have it, no hard feelings, it’s just how I feel about Saijaku Muhai no Bahamut series. So, to answer your question, if the anime is good and if it’s worth watching? The answer is no! The only reason why this anime made this far is the studio Lerche, the same anime that made Ansatsu Kyoushitsu (Assassination Classroom).
